How To Achieve The Impossible

I know what you’re thinking, ‘How can I do something that is impossible?’

But actually, nothing is impossible! It is only your perception of ‘possible’ that limits you.

You may think that going to the moon is impossible but that is not true – lots of people have been to the moon. What about flying? That was once thought of as impossible, but millions of people now fly.

Reaching your ‘Impossible’ Dream.

Begin by writing down three goals:

  1. Something you know you can achieve in the next day or two.
  2. Something you can achieve in the next week.
  3. Something outrageous that you think is impossible to for you to achieve.

Now, go ahead and get started.

  1. – could be something like ‘I will clear out the garage’. Go and do it then cross it off your list.
  2. – could be something like ‘I will spring clean the entire house’. Make a daily plan and be sure you follow this plan.
  3. – could be something like ‘I will spend my next holiday in…’ (wherever is your utopia!) Again, begin by making a list. 1) What do I need?  (Money?) 2) How do I get it. (Better job, saving more, better investments?) etc.  Then do something on your list.

Write all this down on a large sheet of paper, adding some pictures, smiley faces etc, to make it attractive. Stick it up on the fridge or in a prominent place where you can not avoid seeing it.

At the end of the first week, look at your list of goals. Now you can cross off the first one because you did that, right? Number 2 should also be nearly achieved but if it isn’t quite done, move it up to number 1 and finish it! Set yourself another goal to put at number 2 (as above).

Now check out your ‘outrageous’ goal (number 3) – you should be at least one step closer to achieving this. Just think, in a matter of weeks, by moving forward just one step at a time, you could achieve the impossible! Put your ‘outrageous’ goal back on your new list at number 3, set yourself another step to take during the following week to take you closer to achieving your ‘impossible dream’.

Before you know it you will be able to move your impossible dream up your list to number 2, then number 1.

Hey Presto, you have achieved YOUR Impossible Dream!
