My boss and her husband are absolutely great and all, but the problem is that they totally favor and spoil the little girl, and basically let her get away with murder, while they obviously have less patience with the boy and tend to have a shorter rope with him. Now, the main problem, is that because they've spoiled the little girl so much, she is just about impossible to work with. She will refuse to do the simplest things, and sometimes just completely ignores both her grandma who lives with them at the house, and me when we tell/request her to do something. She constantly picks fights and is just downright mean to her brother and expects all of their playthings to be just hers and when I step in to defend him she flips out and screams at me and tells me she hates me and wants me gone. Now, I know that she is just 7 and I don't really take those things to heart, but I feel like she is to the age/point where she knows better. When she does get unhappy with me, I have been kicked and punched and verbally assaulted but I can't do much because I'm the babysitter. The most severe punishment she gets from her parents for this stuff is to have one of her 8 million toys taken away, or her Ipod touch (Which, I find it silly that a 7 year old even has one) gets taken away for a week. These are clearly not working, and Im not sure how to tell them that they need to stop spoiling her because it makes my job that much more difficult. Help!!
